BIOGRAPHY
Karin Solana Brennan was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she received her professional
education in classical and contemporary dance at the renowned Teatro Colón.
At the age of 17, she moved to Europe to join the Hamburg Ballet under the direction of
John Neumeier. She also graduated from the Hamburg Ballet School, likewise under
John Neumeier’s artistic leadership.
In the years that followed, she danced in classical and contemporary works by
acclaimed choreographers and performed various solo and principal roles.
Numerous international tours led her to some of the world’s most prestigious stages.
After her intense career at the Hamburg Ballet, she began a second artistic path
as a tango dancer, teacher, and choreographer. She now shares her passion for dance
at festivals, workshops, and masterclasses, and performs at renowned venues such as
the Laeiszhalle and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, as well as the Philharmonie in Berlin.
Karin was the artistic director of the “Tanzschule Movimientos” in Hamburg for 13 years.
She teaches tango, ballet, and Pilates for dancers and is also active as a choreographer,
including for theatre productions such as “Drei Minuten mit der Wirklichkeit”.
Additionally, she is a certified Gyrotonic trainer and a qualified ontological coach,
officially accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
She teaches in German, Spanish, English, French, or Italian.
